Today on my morning walk up the peak, I altered my route and walked down the trail that I ordinarily only take up. The after-effects of Typhoon Mangkhut are still quite striking. There are open cityscape views where there was a forest. More light filters in on a path that was once primarily shaded.
More striking; however, this morning was the difference in perspective from merely deviating from my ordinary routine. Everything looked completely different today. I paused at new clearings and saw things I never took notice of before. Perhaps precisely what I need was this change in perspective.
